Several months after engaging
controversial Yoruba actress Bisi Ibidapo-Obe in a messy media war over the
paternity of their love child, ex lawmaker, Dino Melaye, is currently facing another
battle of his life. His estranged wife has filed for divorce in a law court
seeking the dissolution of their troubled union.
Melaye’s 10-year old marriage to his wife,
Tokunbo Melaye has finally hit the rocks based on several allegations heaped on
him.
The obviously angry wife took the
bold step to walk out of the marriage on the grounds of infidelity, physical
and mental abuse, negligence of parental roles and so many other evil vices.
According to reliable sources, their marriage crisis began a long time ago, but reached its peak when Melaye was fingered by Ibidapo Obe as the father of her baby girl.

It was squealed that after the
pregnancy scandal, Melaye turned his wife into a punching bag anytime they had
an argument, even to the extent of her being allegedly hospitalized severally.
Aside from allegedly sleeping with his house girl, which was one of the major reasons Tokunbo dragged her estranged husband to court, there are also confirmed whispers that sometimes whenever she goes to work, Melaye would remove her pictures from the house walls and brings in other women into their matrimonial bed telling them his wife had died.
“For the past nine years, Melaye has been beating his wife to the point that there are police records stating some reported instances. When Tokunbo was five months pregnant with her second son, the beatings got worse.
She was rushed to Zanlin hospital in 2005 at exactly 10.p.m., and was treated for injuries on the head. He hit her with an iron rod.
In October 2010, she was rushed to Wuse General Hospital by the police themselves after she ran into them in a bloodied nightgown with deep cuts on her arms.
She reported to the police how Melaye used a plank to flog her aiming for the head but she used her arms to protect herself and ended with deep cuts that needed emergency room attention.
On September 25, 2013 Tokunbo and Melaye had an argument and he pulled a silver pistol to her head and was seconds away from pulling the trigger when his ringing phone distracted him. She took off leaving behind her shoes,” a reliable source revealed.
As part of the divorce process constantly battered and bruised Tokunbo had also applied to get custody of her kids. We tried reaching Melaye for reactions, but could not access his mobile phones before publishing.
