A recent report by the United Nations has painfully revealed that attacks by the violent Islamic sect, Boko Haram, have claimed more than 1,200 lives since May 2013, when a state of emergency was declared in three North-East states.
The toll include civilians, military personnel as well as insurgents killed by security forces repelling attacks, a report by the AFP disclosed.
