Xmas celebrations: Nigerians cry under high prices of foodstuffs

Nigerians shopping for Xmas
Nationwide reports monitored by SHOWBIZPLUS has revealed that the on going Christmas celebrations has affected virtually all prices of food stuffs, clothes and transportation fares throughout the country.
For example, a bag of rice, which sold between N11,500 and N12,000 before, now sells for N13,000.
These high prices of goods and services have left many Nigerian families groaning and cursing, with several of them unwilling to celebrate Christmas like they used to do before.
Meanwhile, an angry and frustrated shopper who spoke with us on the condition of anonymity blamed Goodluck Jonathan for the woes, sufferings and hard ships millions of Nigerians are currently going through, especially at Xmas. "Jonathan has failed Nigerians. This is the worst Xmas Nigerians are managing to celebrate. We are no longer smiling and suffering, but suffering and crying."
