Industry mourns as two music video directors lost dads in one week

It was a tragic week for the Nigerian music industry, as two ace music video directors, Moa Musa and Gbenga Sesan both lost their dads respectively, in one week.

Gbenga lost his father Sesan Ogunro in a tragic robbery incident in Lagos on the night of Sunday, December 22, 2013. The advertising guru, who was also the father to Beat FM OAP, Fade Ogunro was shot dead in the presence of his family around Marwa Gardens in Ikeja, Lagos, shortly after leaving church, where they had attended a Christmas carol service.

A day earlier, Saturday, December 21, another music video director Moe Musa lost his dad in a horrific accident in Lagos.

”Still can’t believe it, such a sudden accident and now you are gone, just like that. This is my father and he passed away yesterday morning in Nigeria due to a horrific accident. May your soul rest in eternal peace. Love you dad #CherishedEveryMoment‘, Moe Musa announced on his Instagram page as he posted a photo of himself and his dad. Since the announcement of both painful deaths, colleagues of the respected music video directors have been commiserating with the duo.
