Filmmaker
and luxury fashion designer, Charles Anyabuike famously known as Charles Kay is
poised to further raise the bar in 2014 with his new collections.
In fact, since moving his office and fashion
factory to Lekki area of Lagos, the style aficionado, has not stopped expanding
and attracting global attention.
Information
reaching SHOWBIZPLUS has it that CK, as he’s fondly called recently completed
work on his latest collection tagged Charles Kay AfroLux Collections.
The unique
and rare collections, in the words of the Theatre Arts graduate of Obafemi
Awolowo University (OAU), Ile Ife, Osun State, features pieces that are trendy,
luxurious, comfortable and practical.
“In today’s
hectic lifestyle, one needs to be able to switch from formal to informal
without having to change clothes. That's what the AfroLux Collection is all
about,” he happily told us.
And
amazingly, London-based luxury designer, the world famous Adebayo Jones has
graciously accepted to preview the collections in London. The special London preview
holds in the second week of February 2014.
“After that
I will officially unveil it in an elaborate event here in Nigeria,” he added.
On the movie
part, he had this to say. “I have not totally left the movie industry but at
some point one has to focus on something and give it 100% attention. At the
moment my fashion brand is getting 100% attention. But I have a movie project
in the pipeline, a collaboration with director, Obi Emelonye. Hopefully that
will come up in the coming year.”
