Adebola Ladoja, one of the sons of the former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Rasheed Ladoja, yesterday lost his life in a ghastly auto crash in Lagos. SHOWBIZPLUSng gathered the accident occurred on Eko Bridge. 

The deceased, who was driving a Golf saloon car with registration number AKD 107 CJ, was said to have been on his way to Lagos Island when a DAF truck, with registration number JJJ 59 XA ran into his car.

It was another heavy blow and knock out defeat for sacked CBN governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as the Senate Joint Committee on Finance has said that contrary to claims by the embattled ex banker, there is never any unremitted $49.8 billion oil funds missing in the Federation Account.

It was a pure sight of horror and barbarism as relatives of a pregnant woman beat her to death with bricks near a court building in eastern Pakistan after she married a man against their will, SHOWBIZPLUSng gathered from a story monitored on CNN.
Farzana Parveen, 25, was attacked Tuesday close to the high court in Lahore by a group of about 20 people, including her brothers, father and cousin, police said.
One family member made a noose of rough cloth around her neck while her brothers smashed bricks into her skull, said Mushtaq Ahmed, a police official, citing the preliminary report into the killing. She was three months pregnant, he said.

The suggestion that the Federal Government intends to spend a staggering sum of $800 Million on the phantom public relations effort to ease “increasing pressure over its response to the kidnapping of more than 200 schoolgirls” is also wholly untrue.

Hope rises as U.S deploys 80 troops to search for missing girls in Chad

The United States military has deployed 80 troops to the country of Chad to help in the search for more than 270 girls kidnapped in Nigeria by that nation’s most feared and powerful extremist group, Boko Haram, the White House told Congress on Wednesday.

US condemns Jos blasts, appeals for calm

 The United States Embassy in Nigeria, has condemned the multiple bomb blasts that claimed about 118 lives and wounded scores in Jos, Plateau State on Tuesday as well as the bombing in the Sabon-Gari neighborhood of Kano on May 18.
It described as unconscionable the abduction of more than 200 girls in Chibok, stressing that these acts starkly demonstrate the criminality of the perpetrators who continue to target defenseless civilians.
The embassy in a statement SHOWBIZPLUSng extracted from its  website on Wednesday, noted the high tension in Jos and appealed for calm, while expressing its condolences to the families of the victims.

Angry President Jonathan condemns Jos bomb blasts, strengthens fight against terrorism

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has strongly condemned the bomb blasts in Jos, Plateau state, today, describing the perpetrators of this tragic assault on human freedom as cruel and evil.   
He has also directed all relevant agencies to mobilise support and relief efforts in aid of the victims. The President, in a press statement sent to SHOWBIZPLUSng and signed by his special assistant on media and publicity, Reuben Abati, also extended his heartfelt sympathies to the affected families and persons.

TDSF partners NDLEA for a drug free nation…Unveils two anti drug campaigns

Towards achieving a drug free society, a nongovernmental organization, The Drug Salvation Foundation (TDSF), has concluded plans to launch and unveil two campaigns that will further assist in the fight against narcotic substances.
Wilson Ighodalo, the President/Founder of TDSF, in a recent chat with SHOWBIZPLUSng said he’s collaborating with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), to sustain both campaigns.
In Ighodalo’s words, “TDSF is a leading national youth development NGO working in the field of
substance abuse awareness and prevention,” adding that he has been championing the fight for an illicit drug free society for over a decade now.
And as part of their public awareness campaigns, Ighodalo, the boss of Questlink Media and Ad Limited said they recently floated Substance Abuse Awareness Symbol and Celebrities Drug Free Club.
