City Kenya’s fast rising pop star, Victoria
Kimani has officially released her new single ‘Prokoto’ featuring Tanzanian stars, Diamond and Ommy Dimpoz.
According to a statement sent to SHOWBIZPLUSng, ‘Prokoto’ follows up on sexy Kimani’s
two previous successful hits ‘Oya’ featuring M.I Abaga and ‘M’Toto’, and is a heavy
beat that is bound to get listeners dancing.
Victoria
Kimani, Diamond and Ommy Dimpoz infuse
their native Swahili language with English on this single “Prokoto” which is a new dance craze in East Africa.
Victoria Kimani’s ‘Prokoto’ is
reminiscent of traditional East African sounds and captivates the listener from
the first beat and culminates in a lot of
dancing and gyrating.

Born in Los Angeles,
but originally from Kenya, Victoria Kimani started writing, recording
and performing at 16. She lived in Nigeria during her high school years, but
moved back to Nairobi, Kenya at the age of 17. Recently Victoria released three
singles off her upcoming album and has become a fan favourite across Africa;
performing at various concerts and A-list events including the Big Brother
Africa Live Show. She recently worked on the recording of the ONE Campaign
#DoAgric theme song and video alongside other African musicians such as Dbanj,
Fally Ipupa, and Femi Kuti.
Her singles OYA,
which featured label mate M.I, as well as WHOA and M'TOTO have
earned her the crown of Africa's pop diva. Her mixtape QUEEN VICTORIA is
currently out.
