TDSF partners NDLEA for a drug free nation…Unveils two anti drug campaigns

Ighodalo

Towards achieving a drug free society, a nongovernmental organization, The Drug Salvation Foundation (TDSF), has concluded plans to launch and unveil two campaigns that will further assist in the fight against narcotic substances.
Wilson Ighodalo, the President/Founder of TDSF, in a recent chat with SHOWBIZPLUSng said he’s collaborating with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), to sustain both campaigns.
In Ighodalo’s words, “TDSF is a leading national youth development NGO working in the field of
substance abuse awareness and prevention,” adding that he has been championing the fight for an illicit drug free society for over a decade now.
And as part of their public awareness campaigns, Ighodalo, the boss of Questlink Media and Ad Limited said they recently floated Substance Abuse Awareness Symbol and Celebrities Drug Free Club.

This Awareness Symbol is a sign representing the campaign against substance abuse in
Nigeria, while the Celebrities Drug Free Club is aimed at taking the club beyond schools with celebrities adding their voices against a drug free society. This will help to create a platform of active and sustained engagement of some selected celebrities in drug control programmes in Nigeria,” he disclosed.
Some of the selected celebrities include: Dayo Adeneye,
Femi Aderibigbe, Ibinabo Fiberesima, Azuh Arinze, Publisher, YES International Magazine, Victor Osuagwu, Goodwin Enakhena, Fred Amata, Ifeanyi Dike, Uche Nnaji, Grace Amah among others.
“All these stars have already signed up their names as members of the Celebrities Drug Free Club, which will be inaugurated at the National Media Launch in Lagos on May 22, 2014.”
The two initiatives already have the blessing and endorsement of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
Ighodalo, the convener of the club added that the laudable project aimed at fighting the war against drug abuse is happening in Nigeria and Africa, for the very first time. He further stated that the campaign will guide people in making informed choices and also provide
information on treatment and rehabilitation of persons with drug abuse problems in the society.

Ighodalo said the theme of this year’s awareness is "Anti-Drug Heroes Campaign."
“This celeb initiative is apt because a lot of Nigerian youths see celebrities as role models and mentors, it is also another opportunity for celebs to inspire millions of Nigeria youths. Substance Abuse Awareness Symbol and Celebrities Drug Free Club are timeless advocacy initiatives.”
