It was with applause, razzmatazz and excitement that Norbert Ajaegbu recently premiered his
well applauded movie, Mama Africa in Lagos to a large audience, this SHOWBIZPLUSng can authoritatively report.
The movie, which also redefined the use of
satire in African cinema, brought together a rare blend of professionals,
established and budding acts to thrill in a production that reflects the
reality that plagues the African continent.
The glamorous event attended by the crème
de la crème of the society, business leaders in the corporate world, the press
and Nollywood practitioners, was truly the gathering of giants and like minds.
Zack
Orji, Tonto Dike, Jibola Daboh, Chigozie Atuanya among others were some of the
leading faces in Nollywood that dazzled in the flick that painfully captures
the plights and problems of Africans in the hands of their greedy, evil and
wicked rulers.
Mama
Africa, from the stable of Ocean Movies was released in cinemas on May 9, 2014.
Metro Classic Pictures is the sole
distributor of the satirical effort in cinemas
