Angry Nigerians blast D’banj for canceling Koko Concert

Nigerian pop star D’banj has revealed that his annual music fiesta called the Koko Concert will not be holding this year.

The concert which has become popular among music buffs, according to the act was cancelled because of the Madiba Legacy Concert which held Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at The Oceanview Restaurant, Victoria Island, Lagos.

“Hey Kokolets, the yearly Koko Concert has been cancelled because of the Madiba Legacy Concert happening tomorrow at the Ocean View event center!!,”, he wrote.

He has however promised to make it up to his fans by hosting three ‘Koko Parties’ this yuletide season. “Not to worry I’m hosting 3 Koko parties this season for my Dear fans,” he added.

Meanwhile, several angry and disappointed fans who spoke with us, berated the musician for canceling the show. One of the fans said:

“Dbanj is fast becoming very unserious with his career these days. He should watch it before it’s too late. The Mandela excuse he gave us is very shallow and irresponsible. What has Mandela got to do with Koko Concert?”
