It is only in Nigeria that those standing trial for allegedly duping and sabotaging the nation will find it comfortable frolicking with the powers that be.

Recently, the mother of the Petroleum Minister, Mrs. Diezani Allison-Madueke turned 80, and surprisingly, among those that put up full page advertorials in several newspapers to congratulate the octogenarian were some of the indicted oil marketers standing trial in the infamous fuel subsidy scam. Some members of the Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association (DAPPMA), who felicitated with HRM Chief Mrs. Beatrice Oyete Agama included: Capital Oil and Gas, Dee Jones Oil, Zenon. These oil majors among others, incase Diezani has forgotten are all standing trial in the ongoing fuel subsidy scam.
