Elated Andrew, who hails from Onitsha, Anambra State, in a chat with DAYLIGHT.NG boasted that Iwa, which he produced and funded this 2016, is a game-changer in Nollywood.
‘’I want to give God all the glory for the strength, determination and courage to produce Iwa, which happens to be my first movie as a producer and member of the Association of Movie Producers (AMP). Iwa is a language movie that tells the story of an oppressed tribe and their resolve not to give up. I joined Nollywood in 2012 as a coordinator and became a locations manager, three years after, 2015 to be precise.
I officially joined AMP this 2016 and decided to produce Iwa. To God be the glory for making my age long dream become a reality. I also want to thank my colleagues, especially the cast and crew members of Iwa for solidly standing by me, while the production lasted. Iwa is out to change the face of language movies in Nollywood and beyond. In fact, Iwa holds the ace in Nollywood,’’ stated the 38 year-old filmmaker.
Speaking further, the filmmaker who wants to be ranked among the top five producers in Nollywood by 2019, disclosed that he had also completed work on his soon to be premiered big budget cinema movie.
“I recently completed work on my new movie, which was specifically shot for the cinemas and we intend having the world premiere before the end of this year. For now, we are also keeping the title under wraps, pending when we have concluded all arrangements.” He added.
