Randy Orton and Brock Lesnar |
Randy Orton and Brock Lesnar will go head-to-head in Chicago next month, after the Viper confirmed the rematch on Twitter.
Following a brutal SummerSlam contest at the Barclays Center in New York where Lesnar emerged victorious following a controversial and bloody TKO, Orton will get his chance to avenge the defeat.
Chicago’s WWE Live Event on September 24 is the time and the place for the pair to go head-to-head in one of WWE’s most eagerly anticipated rematches of recent years.
The Beast Incarnate’s savage attack on Orton split him open and left the Viper needing 10 staples to the injury, but more importantly it forced WWE officials to call off the contest and hand Lesnar one of his biggest victories since returning to the WWE in 2012.
Barely a week after the first meeting, Orton confirmed the news on his Twitter feed and is clearly out for revenge, predicting how he intends to finish the contest, writing: Chicago, IL. September 24. @AllstateArena Viper. Beast. The Rematch. Time for an #RKOOuttaNowhere
Having been fined by Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon for flooring Smackdown Commissioner Shane McMahon, Lesnar has reasons for revenge of his own but ‘The Rematch’ will make for another compelling contest.
Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Lesnar will hope to prove his victory was no one-off while Orton does not look like resting until he has the victory he feels he was denied.SKYSPORTS
