Kanye West may just have lost his number one fan! (Besides himself.) According to an insider, Kim Kardashian has told friends she was embarrassed by his VMA’s meltdown,

As previously reported, West, 38, blasted his famous wife in a long-winded speech at the VMAs in NYC on Sunday. According to a source close to the Kardashian clan, “Kanye really embarrassed Kim and her family.”

Three days after the ill-fated awards show, the parents to North, 2, and eight-month-old son, Saint West, are STILL in the Big Apple. “Kim does not like being in NYC and Kanye asked her to stay there right now because he has business to do,” the source told Radar.

“Kim thinks that NYC is dangerous and she never feels safe there,” said the source. “But once again, Kanye is putting his needs before his family.”

Needless to say, Kardashian, 35, has a squad of security watching over her and the kids while in New York. “Kim insisted on beefing up their security,” the insider told Radar. “But Kanye told her there is no need, and that no one is going to come for them.”
