A New Jersey judge finalized the divorce Monday between actor and comedian Chris Rock and his wife of 20 years, Malaak Compton, who are longtime Alpine residents, according to TMZ.
The proceedings are sealed, so no details of the settlement are known. Real estate records show the couple still jointly own their home in Alpine, which they purchased in 2001 for $3 million.
Some custody details have leaked out since their separation in 2014. The couple has two daughters together, Lola, now 14, and Zahra, 12, but in papers previously filed by Compton, she asked for support for another girl, Ntombi, now 8, who came to live with the couple from South Africa in 2008, when she was less than a year old.
Among Compton's many philanthropic causes is support of an orphan rescue fund in Johannesburg and Soweto, South Africa. Her lawyer said last year that Compton is the process of adopting Ntombi.
TMZ says Rock is in frequent contact with his two daughters but hasn't seen Ntombi since his split from Compton. In a bit during his 2016 Oscars hosting stint, Rock joked about a rivalry for Girl Scout cookie sales supremacy between "Zahra, my youngest" and another Bergen County family.
