Ehizojie's new movie, Jand Hustle, makes waves

Ehizojie Ojesebholo

United Kingdom based Nigerian-born filmmaker, Ehizojie Ojesebholo believes that not all Nigerians should just travel abroad in search of greener pastures because of the sordid experience they usually go through.
Ojesebholo, popularly called Mr. E, hails from Edo State and his latest movie, Jand Hustle, recently won the Efere Ozako Best Experimental Film at the 10th edition of the Abuja International Film Festival (AIFF 2013).
He holds a Diploma certificate from Sound and Audio Engineering, (SAE), London and a degree in Filmmaking from Middlesex University, London and he is a member of Directors Guild of Great Britain.
In 2009, his movie Chill Pill, also won the Focus Dialog Prize Award at the 37th SEHSUCHTE, International Student Film Festival in Potsdam, Germany and was also nominated for the African Movie Academy Award in the Visual Effects category.
Mr. E says “ Jand Hustle, is a documentary-comedy about a Nigerian called Jimmy Bendel, who travelled from West Africa to East London in search of greener pastures but finds out things are not the same as he reads or hears from people who have travelled abroad.”
“The movie Jand Hustle really helps to answer the question- Do you really know what people go through over there? They cannot tell you what they are going through because they are ashamed of the kind of jobs they do there.”
In one of the promotional posters, it reads “In Nigerian, you have one or two relatives who are based abroad, but do you really know what they do to survive?
Other artistes that featured in the movie include Rachael Oniga, Kevin Hallett, Onoh Kallista, Oyinka Yusuff and Okechukwu Chima.
It was co-produced with Funmi Adesanya (UK), Ibironke Ojesebholo (Nigeria), while Associate Producers include Vitor Okhai, Cheah Kar Mun, Yejide Akomolafe and Oliver Aleogena.
