They famous quartet separately blamed those managing the nation's aviation sector for not doing enough in protecting the lives of innocent Nigerians who fly daily within and outside the country. Below are their candid short takes on the crash that has further thrown our embattled nation into another period of mourning.

My reaction was that of shock when I first
heard the sad news. I said not again. How long will this continue? It’s time
for a total revamp of the aviation sector. Government needs to take very drastic
actions. It’s indeed sad. Our airspace deserves safety. How can they fly a 23
year-old plane? What was the condition of the aircraft? Too many questions. We
thank God for the lives of the survivors. May the souls of the departed find
rest in the Lord. May God comfort their families.

First of all, they should find the cause
of the crash. Thank God the black box was found immediately. The problem is how
long it is going to take them to actually read and resolve the last comment by
the pilot before the crash and come out with a viable reason for the crash. Now
the big question is what would government do to prevent further happenstances?
John
Okafor (Mr. Ibu) (Actor)
It is rather unfortunate to record yet
another crash, having lost five air crafts already to crashes in the last twelve
months. We need serious prayers. The crash had too much effect. I think they
should have conveyed the corpse through road. But unfortunately, they chose to
fly the corpse through Associated Aviation. For me, it was a case of pure
carelessness on the part of the airline. It could also be a case of spiritual
carelessness on the part of the deceased family. Again, it still baffles me why
nothing happened to the corpse and the coffin, because it was reported that the
plane caught fire. The crash must have been caused by human or spiritual
carelessness. Our aviation sector needs a complete over haul now.

It’s really a pity and my heart goes out
to the families of the victims. Sometimes, these things happen so that our
leaders will sit up. They are not spending our resources very well. As our
leaders, they are not leading us well.
They don’t also care about us. They need
to urgently do something in the aviation sector in other to save the precious
lives of Nigerians.

Something holistic must be done or we all will like wise perish in the belly of a Nigerian bird called aircraft.
