Clement Chukwu (middle), MTN Project Fame's 6th edition highest voter, receiving the key of an Hyundai Accent from Mr. Babatubde Osho, MTN's Chief Enterprise Solutions Officer, while Mr. Larry Annetts (left), Chief Marketing Officer, MTN, watches with admiration, recently, at the company's Head Office, in Ikoyi, Lagos.

Clement Chukwu, a resident of Enugu state, recently received the highest gift of his life, courtesy of MTN, through its yearly youth-centric musical reality show and competition, Project Fame. The 28 year-old was presented with a Hyundai Accent, at the company’s headquarters, in Ikoyi, to the delight of his friends and family members. The car was the ultimate prize for the highest voter, during the just concluded reality show.
Asked how he felt emerging as the highest voter, the dark-skinned young man, said his happiness cannot be expressed in words. He recalled the day he received the call that he has emerged the winner. According to him, ‘I felt so elated because I always heard the show hosts announce that the highest voter for this year will be rewarded with a Hyundai Accent’.
H e continued, saying his friends thought he was crazy with the way he kept voting, every week. Admirably, he said, he never gave up neither was there a time he doubted he would win.
Meanwhile, the Enugu resident spoke highly of MTN Project Fame in comparison with every other musical reality show. For him, ‘MTN Project Fame is better organised; the judges are professional and they tend to be accurate in their verdicts’.
The presentation further establishes Project Fame as the best musical reality show in West Africa. Having produced over eight super stars, in its six years of talent discovery, modeling and providing entertainment and relaxation for families with rare content on television, the yearly show has become a reference point for those in its class.
This year, the show received thousands of accolades, both on social and print media. The contestants’ performances were in high demand among fans, for download on mobile and Youtube, worldwide. At the Meet & Greet, organized for contestants to have direct interaction with fans, in Lagos, the public turn-out was amazing. The fans, comprising mostly students, scrambled for autographs and expressed delights at the opportunities to take pictures with the contestants.
Olawale Ojo, a Ladoke Akintola University of Technology’s (LAUTECH) student, was the winner of the sixth edition of the show, held this year. He and Immaculate, the first runner-up, received their Hyundai ix35 and Elantra, respectively, at the same presentation.
