Always fond of stretching
borders, Absolut Vodka regularly
re-defines the word event. Absolut has set their eyes on doing the same in
Nigeria encouraging individuals to change things, break boundaries, challenge
conventions and recreate themselves in order to become something more.
Absolut
will launch their new campaign “Transform Today” in Nigeria during their event
themed 'The End is Far'. The event is scheduled to take place on October 26,
2013.
The core message here is
that young adults can break free from the idea that anything is predetermined
and take control of their future. Absolut
aspires to encourage communities with a creative path yet without a platform.
The aim is to embrace creativity; to celebrate art and the artist behind the
art.
The campaign serves as an
opportunity for people with a creative path to express themselves through
different genres of art according to Akintayo
Akinseloyin, Brand Manager for Absolut Vodka. “This event which marks the start of the campaign promises to be
more than just a party -- it is a call to transform today as we put the ART in
party. Absolut seeks to tap into the creative energy that radiates in the city
of Lagos by creating an environment that will inspire the process of creation.
It is what we refer to as deep play.”
Think art, culture, talent,
creativity, fun, freedom; think of an interactive circus of which all guests
are participants. The event will create a leveled playing ground for all even
with the dress code which is simply white t-shirt and jeans, nothing fancy. The
event promises a variety of activities that will awaken the creative in you.”
Absolut vodka has collaborated with artists
such as Andy Warhol and Keith Harring in the past and as part of the campaign
in Nigeria, Absolut is looking to recruit talented up and coming artists to
partner with them for a campaign called open canvass to paint murals around
Lagos. Absolut vodka seeks to
promote creative talents through this campaign.
