Shocking details of how Jeta Amata’s marriage to Mbong crashed...Why they may never reconcile

Mbong & Jeta Amata when the going was good
It is no longer news that revered Nollywood filmmaker Jeta Amata has joined the league of celebrities with crashed homes.
Amata’s almost a decade marriage to sexy actress, Mbong, crumbled last year following ‘irreconcilable’ differences. But surprisingly, the estranged couple decided to keep mum about it till this year.
According to info at EE’s reach, the union crashed after several attempts by the duo to save the marriage from hitting the rocks.
EE further learnt from good authorities that the marriage ended over the wife’s insistence to continue acting against her husband’s wish.
Close insiders squealed that the centre could no longer hold between the once adorable couple, as Mbong wanted more of her career, while Jeta restricted her to working only on his productions-a move that saw her act in only in Black Gold and Keke Bongo’s Inale.
According to an insider, "Jeta didn't mind his wife being an actress but he didn't want her featuring in Nollywood movies, so he restricted her to his movies.  And because she met Jeta at a very young age, Mbong didn't get a chance to date other men, never partied and until they separated, never earned a living on her own. She relied on Jeta for everything.
When they moved to the US, it became worse for Mbong. She became lonely and instead of being the star actress she's always dreamed of, she became a housewife, caring for Jeta and their five year old daughter. Mbong became resentful and left Jeta in 2011 and returned to Nigeria. Jeta went after her and they reconciled after Jeta promised to give her a bit more space to pursue her dreams.
Jeta tried to live up to his promise, but as an African man, he just couldn't compromise much and so last year Mbong opted out of the marriage and Jeta finally let her go. Mbong and Jeta have been living separately in Los Angeles for about a year now", an inside source squealed.
When further probed if there was any hope for reconciliation, it was confirmed that "it's only a matter of time before they would file for divorce. They have moved on and the love is no longer there. Mbong is very happy now that she can do whatever she wants without a husband to stop her or tell her what she can or can't do."
However, Mbong, now a single mother of one is living separately from Jeta in Los Angeles after the quiet separation.
Jeta in a terse message posted online was manly enough to bag the blames that led to their separation.
While describing his ex-wife and narrating what led to the shocking dissolution of their young union, the prolific movie director said, “Mbong is an amazing mother, an incredible wife. All the time we were together she would never let any other person cook my food. She was faithful and good to me and gave me the best gift in the world; our beautiful daughter. If I didn’t cage her so much maybe we would still be together. I stole her youth and didn’t let her live her dream so it was better to let her go and find new adventures. She’s happy and so am I. Despite the fact that we are no longer together, we are still good friends. She even lives close to me here in LA. Things are great between us and I’m happy to see her happy," he disclosed.
Meanwhile, since their separation, the celebrity couple seems to have moved on with their lives, as Jeta was reported to have found love in the arms of an Australian actress, Viva Bianca, best known for her role as Ilithyia in Spartacus.  Although, he carefully declined to comment about his alleged romance with Bianca.
While Mbong, the ex-beauty queen has been busy shuttling between Nigeria and Los Angeles featuring in some Nollywood movies. She recently sparingly showcased her sexy bikini body and talent in Emem Isong's 'Forgetting June' and 'Niger Delta' a human rights movement movie which portrays a young woman who vigorously pursued justice and humanity while challenging the mighty corrupt Oil Company that was initially responsible for her character’s American education.
Meanwhile, findings revealed that Jeta’s marriage ended few months after that of his uncle, Ruke Amata.

Painfully, the marital crises in the Amatas clan could be traced back to the senior Amata, Zack (Jeta’s dad) whose marriage also collapsed several years back.
Another of Jeta’s uncle Fred, a famous name in Nollywood also broke up with his pretty TV personality wife, Agatha Amata, before he went into a relationship with Ibinabo Fiberesima. The infamous affair produced a pretty daughter before they parted ways.
