The remains of popular gospel singer
and Branama crooner, Irekefe Obareki-Momoh famously known as Kefee will be laid
to rest tomorrow, Friday, July 11, at her hometown of Okpara Inland, Delta
State, this SHOWBIZPLUSng can authoritatively and painfully report.
Kefee passed on at a Las Vegas
hospital in the United States some weeks ago. She breathed her last 15 days
after she reportedly collapsed and went into coma during a New York to Chicago
flight.
Expected at the occasion are the
late gospel singer's friends and colleagues under a coalition known as Kefee
Memorial Committee and convened by Sammie Okposo.
A burial arrangement announced by
KMC revealed that the late singer's final journey home begins today, Thursday,
July 10.
The event will commence with a
candlelight/service of songs at Oba Akenzua Cultural Centre, Airport Road,
Benin City, Edo State.
It will continue tomorrow at her
hometown of Okpara with Home Going Service/Interment at Akpevweoghene
Educational Centre, Open Field, Okpara Inland, Ethiope East, Delta State.
The event is expected to climax with
Celebration of Kefee's Life at Events Galleria, Okirigwe Junction by MFM,
Sapele, Delta State.
