The on-going Twitter war of words between
music stars, Davido and Wizkid is gradually taking a deadly dimension, this
SHOWBIZPLUSng can authoritatively report.
Wizkid further ignited the messy
fight when he came back to Twitter to talk about the fun he had on his New York
show recently.
“I already killed NY!! London 26th
Sept!! Manchester 28th Sept!!! Big surprise!! Still proper shows!! Proper
venues!!! #f--kboysuckad--k!!, (sic)” Wizkid wrote on Twitter obviously
referring again to Davido’s flopped New York show, which was closed down by New
York Police due to crowd problems.
The Omo Baba Olowo crooner, who
obviously did not find the tweets funny replied Wizkid with a deadly warning.
“Pull half my crowd before talking
shit! Loser!,” Davido tweeted before threatening to take the rivalry outside
the social media.
“It's all fun and games till
somebody gets knocked out! Ask around! I got them hands!!,” Davido threatened.
Davido’s camp however revealed that
the cause of the rivalry has to do with Davido’s success.
“Davido and Wizkid used to be very
cool. As an up and coming singer in 2010 and 2011, he always looked up to
Wizkid and they were cool. But immediately Davido became big, Wizkid started
acting funny. Davido doesn’t care and is focused only on his music,” an anonymous
source hinted.
Efforts to get official statements
from both warring parties proved abortive as they were not available for
comments prior to our publishing.
