MultiChoice rewards subscribers with home appliances

 With barely a week left, MultiChoice Nigeria with its unique DStv and GOtv products has shown to its loyal subscribers that it’s a brand that truly cares and promotes family values. Little wonder why over a hundred subscribers of both DStv and GOtv have won big in the on-going Home Advantage promotion.

The Home Advantage promotion for DStv and GOtv subscribers, SHOWBIZPLUSng gathered is designed to encourage subscribers in bouquets to make subscription payments through the DStv and GOtv scratch cards.

Speaking on the promotion, Martin Mabutho, General Manager, Marketing, MultiChoice Nigeria, emphasized that the Home Advantage promotion was to reward subscribers who choose to use recharge cards to renew their subscriptions. “The promotion dubbed the ‘Home Advantage Promo’ has seen lucky subscribers who purchase the limited edition home advantage recharge cards go home with fantastic home appliances” he explained.

Speaking about her win, Mrs. Kekereogun Kudirat Bunmi, who won a family-size freezer, gas cooker, vacuum cleaner and microwave oven told the media that she was excited about winning the prize as a GOtv subscriber. While thanking MultiChoice for her win, she urged the company to continue to provide more entertaining local content for its subscribers.

Another winner, Mr. Olumide Obafemi while receiving the grand prize at MultiChoice branch Office in Surulere,Lagos, told the media that he is delighted with MultiChoice for promoting family values and unity. According to him, having won this prize has reinforced his commitment to remain loyal to the DStv brand. “I will continue to pay my subscription and enter for competitions of this kind, who knows, I may end up winning a prize bigger than this in the near future” he declared.

Celebrating his victory in Ibadan, Oyo State, Ayobami Agbebunmi a DStv subscriber told the media that he was dumb-founded when he got the call that he had won the grand prize of microwave, gas cooker, washing machine and vacuum clearer. “I have never won anything before in my life, he exclaimed. “But when DStv called to say I won the four-in-one grand prize, it was so overwhelming for me” he said

More and more subscribers are winning in this promo on an ongoing basis, and all they did to qualify was very simple; they acquired minimum of two Home Advantage Recharge cards and scratch the grey panel on the football jersey to reveal a player – striker, defender or coach.

In the first category, a combination of any two players gives an instant gift of a pressing iron or a sandwich maker. The winning combinations are -a defender and a striker; two defenders or two strikers. 20, 000 winners will emerge from this category.

The second category will see subscribers who purchase three or more cards and present a combination of any two players plus a coach, win the grand prize of a kitchen revamp. The kitchen revamp is a bunch of home alliances consisting a gas cooker, freezer, microwave oven and a vacuum cleaner. Each grand prize winner will go home with all four items and there will be 100 winners in this category.

The General Manager, Marketing also noted that there will not be any raffle draws. Winners are to redeem prizes after confirmation that the cards have been successfully loaded; that is, used to pay subscription. The home advantage recharge cards are available in all MultiChoice offices and dealer outlets in Nigeria. “We want to encourage more and more of our subscribers to make payment via the scratch card method. Once there is a confirmation that the card was successfully loaded and the subscriber emerges as winner, we will immediately contact the subscriber” he said.
