What
influenced your going into Nollywood?
It has always been a passion, dream and desire right from my childhood. I
have always loved entertainment. And each time I watch movies, the passion
get’s stirred up and going after it is a dream come true not just because of
the money but because of the joy I derive from it. It makes me actualize my
childhood dream.
How
has the experience been so far?
It has
been wonderful. Though, it has not been easy, as nothing good comes easy. I am
still learning a lot in the industry and at the end of everything, I know I
will get there. I see the industry as a school, the more I am into it, the more
I acquire more experience.
How
many movies have you featured in?
I have
done a lot of movies and I have lost counts. Let me mention the ones I can
remember. I have featured in Adolphos,
the Village Hunter, Samma the Local Champion, Nurse Touch, Skelewu Babies,
Black Mafias, among others
What
exactly do you do or take to get into character?
It is a
natural gift from God, I don’t need to do or take anything to get into a
character because it is natural.
What
is your impression about Nollywood generally and what do you think should be
done to improve its standard?
Nollywood
is daily evolving. There is so much about Nollywood and it is a field on its
own. It is like that in other sectors and I think encomiums should be poured on
the practitioners of Nollywood. For an industry that did not get support from
any government agency or sponsored by a multinational to get to this level is a
colossal achievement by all standard. We should be commended instead of being
vilified. Just like in other industry, we have our ups and downs but we are not
stagnant. We are improving everyday. If for nothing else, we are globally
recognized as a force to reckon with as far as the business of movie making is
concerned. We however need sponsors.
What
do you hope to achieve at the end of the day as an actress?
My goals
is to put smiles on the faces of the audience and fans through my characters
because without them I am nowhere. I also know that when they are happy I am
happy.
What
else do you do aside acting?
For now
all my goals and attentions are in acting. I am not thinking about anything at
the moment because I don’t want to get distracted. I eat, sleep, dream and
wake, acting.
How
challenging is acting and so far which movie has been most challenging for u
and why?
My most
challenging movie is ‘Black mafias’ because that was my
first sub-lead role few years ago. Acting is a fun game and so many people have
different views about the world of acting but at the end of everything, we are
going after one goal. On the other hand, there are so many challenges that when
you think you are so good you may find out there are people who are better.
That’s why one has to put in his or her best in any role being given to you. Most
people think it is the fight of the fittest but I know it is just the grace of
God for me.
Tell
us about your love life?
My love
life is private but I am in a relationship. In any case, I would love to marry
a man who is honest, God fearing, good looking and caring. However, an
unfaithful, arrogant and nagging man totally turns me off.
What
part of your body do you cherish the most and why?
I so much cherish
every part of my body from head to toe, most especially my face, because it is
created by God.
What
role can you not play in a movie?
If you men nude,
I can but for a reason. I cannot go nude for nothing. If I’m to play nude I
have to consider how much it is worth. This is based on the fact that we are in
a society where our cultural practices are different from that of the western
world. Hence, if the money is worth it, I can. Thereafter, I will use the same money
to take care of the after-effect
Who
are your role models in the industry?
Joke
Silva, Liz Benson, Genevieve Nnaji and Omotala Jalade.
Which
actor do you have a crush on?
None!
