SHOWBIZPLUSng learnt that for the first time since its
inception three years ago, the high octane ceremony holding on Sunday, July 27,
2014, at the upscale events and entertainment centre, Niteshift Coliseum,
Opebi, Ikeja, will graciously honour a potpourri of leading entertainers, few
high-net-worth individuals and some deserving corporate bodies with the newly
introduced Express Star Awards (ESA) Trophy.
Leading the roll call of honourees
at the forthcoming evening event that is already serenading and reverberating
within and outside the nation’s booming entertainment industry is Otunba Mike
Adenuga, the founder and executive chairman of Globacom, Nigeria’s second
national carrier.
The billionaire philanthropist
fondly called The Guru, will be decorated with Nigeria’s Entertainment Pillar
of the Decade Award.
The special honour is in recognition
of Adenuga’s matchless contributions to the development and deepening of the
economic potential of the entertainment industry in Nigeria.
Interestingly, a total of 16

be recognized and rewarded at the historic night aimed at celebrating only the
very best in entertainment.

Ikedieze (Aki), Osita Iheme (Pawpaw), Jide Kosoko alongside the duo of Tope
Tadela and Lizzy Gold (New Faces).
Also, six worthy and wave making

be going home with our ESA Trophy. They include: Davido, Tiwa Savage, Omawumi,
Yemi Sax and the duo of Phyno and Patoranking (Fresh Faces).
