Ibinabo and Natty |
Contrary to online reports that veteran
TV and Nollywood actor Romanus Amuta popularly known as Natty in the 80′s
sitcom, New Masquerade is dead, SHOWBIZPLUSng can authoritatively report that
the thespian is still alive and kicking from his eastern base.
Recently, the unconfirmed news of
his sudden death went viral online but reacting to the wicked death rumours,
the National Secretary of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Abubakar Yakubu debunked
the ugly tale and described it as the hand work of indolent individuals.
According to the AGN scribe:
“It’s so untrue to say Natty passed
away. I and other executives of the guild were in Enugu, where we had
transferred him to a specialist hospital. He is very much alive and is
receiving treatment. They have conducted several tests on him and he has been
at the physiotherapist section of the hospital where he’s receiving treatment.
Kindly disregard the rumour and note that he’s very much alive. Full treatment
on his health had commenced after the results conducted on him came out.”
While speaking from his Enugu State
base, the recuperating actor also confirmed he is very much alive, and praised
AGN president, Ibinabo Fiberesima for helping to save his life.
“You have showed me that there is God. Only God can reward
you,” Amuta told the AGN leader.
