Mic Abel |
A new album entitled Unquestionable
God by one of Nigeria's gospel artistes, Mic Abel, who is currently on a
musical tour of the United Kingdom, would soon be dropped.
This is coming after the
release of his two previous albums in Nigeria.
The new work is being
powered by Kent Uche, boss of Naija FM radio station and Godfather Music
Incorporated (GMI), London.
Abel, who has made
his mark as a recording artiste, has previously toured South Africa, Ghana and
Republic of Benin, before berthing in London. His next endeavour is the
third album, which would soon be released in the UK and Nigeria.
According to Abel,
he was inspired to record the album by the untimely demise of his younger
brother, Gabriel Adelaja-a member of King Sunny Ade's band who died in a
ghastly motor accident in 2010.
He further explained
that the forthcoming album has tracks like Omo Laso, Adura Mi Gba,
Olorun Gbe Mi Nija, and others, apart from the title track,
Unquestionable God.
Abel, who also plays the
keyboard flawlessly, revealed that he started his music career at a tender age
as a choir member of the Celestial Church of Christ, Mokola, Ibadan and later
went through the tutelage of an entertainment veteran, Comrade Victor Ashaolu;
music lecturer Wole Adediran, late Bayo Adegboyega, Mr. Segun Martin and
Ibadan-based juju music artiste, Micho Ade, before launching his own band, Marvelous
Abel and His High Class Band, in 1992. His two previous albums- Alayo Ni
Mi and Ayo Igbala-were released on Tumsek Productions.
