Having conquered the worlds of politics and military warfare, former President, Olusegun Obasanjo is now making an in road into the bubbly Nigerian entertainment scene.
Baba Iyabo, as he’s fondly called recently appeared and dazzled in the latest music video of Ibitayo Jeje, the acclaimed 'Queen of Highlife'. The video is coming off Jeje’s brand new single from her forthcoming third album entitled 'Why You Love Me So,' which dropped worldwide today, Monday, November 18, 2013. The video features the former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, who is debuting in his first creative performance of such.

Jeje is one of Nigeria’s truest female music personalities and is gradually becoming one of the most influential female voices in African International music scene. She started her music career professionally over 10 years ago, and is the daughter of a foremost gospel minister, Rev Bola Arowolo based in the USA.

Her new album set to be released early 2014 is said to contain African inspired songs and experiences, and her style is a blend of contemporary highlife music, with a fusion of English, pidgin and vernacular. The new song "Why You Love Me So" is musically on point, and lyrically borne out of true real life experiences and her continued reliance on God.

Set Him Off Music, a leading worldwide music label and publishing outfit based in the United Kingdom, describes the new single as “a breath of fresh air”, while the G-Vibes Magazine Blog describes it as a “....triumph for modern day music. A beautiful blend of African rhythms, salsa and jazz, which gives it that easy listening vibe, which elevates it into brilliance”.

Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, features in this classy music video to lend his clout, support, and to further assist in developing our African Indigenous Music Industry, our Culture and this creative generation. Jeje strongly believes his action will help role model other African and Nigerian leaders to look inward, support our way of life, music, and this creative youthful generation. Apostle Anselm Madubuko, Funke Akinokun, Hess Akanji and her Hubby Pastor Ayo Jeje also featured to lend a hand to the cause.

This visually superb music video was shot and directed by Oluyinka Davids (iFocus Pictures), and the song produced by Mr. Wols (Wole Adesanya).  Within 12 hours of official video release on Monday, it already has over 2,000 views on Youtube.

When asked to describe herself in a few words, she said "My name is Ibitayo Jeje, I am a musician, an African, and the Queen of Highlife music. I carry God always. Follow me on twitter @Ibitayojeje".
