Tiwa Savage weds amid controversy tomorrow…As another woman claims she is married to Tee Billz with kids...Releases family photos

Tiwa Savage                                                         Guess who?                                                    Tee Billz

Husband snatching allegation is currently hovering over the head of music star, Tiwa Savage as she gets set to hold her talk of the town wedding.  In fact, as the wave making singer and songwriter from Lagos Island walks down the aisle tomorrow, November 23, with her husband-to-be, Tee Billz, at The Ark Vicinity, Lekki, there will be several unanswered questions and fears which are threatening to take the shine off the much publicised event.
Ever since Tee Billz’ glamorous engagement to the Kele Kele Love crooner, their relationship has been controversy ridden as a new twist was immediately added when a certain lady emerged on the scene with incontrovertible evidences that she was legally married to Tee Billz with two kids. To drive home her point, the London-based lady flooded the internet with facts, including several heart-rending family pictures where Tee Billz was carrying and kissing their kids.
Following this shocking revelation, emotions and outrages have been high as the development has continuously generated hot debates within and outside the media.  “Why is Tiwa Savage marrying a married man with kids? This is how Nigerian celebrities screw up their lives?” This is yet one of the outbursts that recently reawakened the sleeping dog, thereby rekindling another media frenzy. The rhetorical question came from the former governor of old Oyo controversial daughter, Kemi Olunloyo, via her face book page and twitter handle.
Conceivably, as the D-day approaches, one of the fears casting uncertainty on the elaborate event is how the obviously embittered Tee Billz’s distraught wife will react to the union. Will she or her family make a surprise appearance or even create a scene at the wedding venue tomorrow? This is basically one of the fears some are entertaining.
However, Tee Billz has denied being legally married to any woman. When the unpleasant story surfaced, he without mouch ado took to his Twitter page to spit fire on his enemies, claiming that rumour mongers wanted to destroy his relationship with Miss Savage.
“I wonder why some jobless people want to destroy my relationship. Since I proposed to Savage, these sets of destroyers have been on my neck… It’s all a lie. I have never been married and I don’t know why and where they got the pictures from…” he tweeted. Yet another observer quickly re-tweeted: “Pictures speak louder than words. Oga Tee Billz oya who is the woman and the two kids in the above picture?”
The traditional wedding
Information available to Entertainment Express reveals that the traditional marriage ceremony will be holding at The Ark Vicinity, located on Okunade Bluewater Zone, off Remi Olowude Street, Lekki, Lagos. The nuptials will kick off at 9 a.m. and last for four hours. The reception will immediately follow at the same venue. Already, interested guests have ordered for their Aso-Ebi, a lace fabric of five yards that allegedly goes for N30, 000.
Wedding strictly by invitation
As close sources disclosed to EE, the ceremony will not be an all comers affair. In other words, only family members and invited guests will be admitted into the prestigious hall. Understandably, security arrangements for the nuptial is said to be very tight just as there will be a strict adherence to guest lists. The songstress, according to sources has been having a hard time penning down the guests list with some input from her hubby-to-be; a list which mainly comprises of top entertainment buffs, business partners and industry executives. “We are making our wedding as low key as possible; not everyone is invited. Our families are large including our friends and the venue won’t house everybody so we are printing limited invitation cards,” Tee Billz said in a recent interview. The wedding invitation which is creatively designed with a ‘T and T’ emblem on the cover is printed in two colours – fuchsia and gold, matching the wedding outfit colours of the much anticipated event.
Performing artistes
Tee Billz also disclosed in the same interview that artistes to perform at the nuptials are mainly Mavin Record members including Don Jazzy, Dr. Sid, and Wande Coal, who recently left the label. Others expected to thrill guests are Tuface, Wizkid and Banky W, among other notable names in the industry.
The white wedding
Nowadays, it has become a trend for many celebrities to turn their weddings into occasions of mind-blowing extravaganza and razzmatazz. Savage and her hubby-to-be intend following the footprints of these stars who have in recent times held fairytale weddings- Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde’s white wedding on board a mid-flight plane from Lagos to Benin, Stephanie Okereke-Idahosa’s “French fairy tale nuptials” in Paris, and the recent Tuface ‘Dubai extravaganza.’ The Savage’s white wedding is billed to hold next year at Maldives Island, an island nation in the Indian Ocean of about two hours flight outside Dubai.
Tiwa joins league of celebrities with controversial marital stories
Keeping the marriage bed honourable and undefiled is one Biblical injunction that has been consistently flouted with impunity, especially in Nollywood. In the industry, scandals ranging from husband snatching allegations, infidelities in marriage among other marital controversies have never ceased to make headlines in various print and social media, thereby setting tongues wagging and further dragging their reputations to the mud. In fact, these husband snatching scandals have become synonymous with the industry, as most of the female celebrities have become the nightmare of many married couples.
With the unfolding events, it seems Savage is about joining the league of celebrities whose marriages have been characterized by bizarre twists and melodramas, thereby becoming a matter of public debate and a sizzling hot news item for the media.
For instance, the wedding between Nollywood star actress, Mercy Johnson and Odianose Okojie, which held on August 27, 2011, was spiced with oddities. The very day the wedding date was announced was the same day it turned a hot issue in public domain. The development followed the messy revelation by a Canadian-based woman, Lovely Okojie, who claimed she was still married to the screen diva’s then husband-to-be, Okojie. Lovely who stormed Nigeria also visited different media houses with series of wedding pictures of herself and Okojie, alongside that of the child they bore together.
Another case in point is the currently embattled ace actress, Funke Akindele. While many actresses’ marital controversies are centred on husband snatching allegations, that of Funke Akindele had different dimension. Her wedding announcement caused outcry from her fans who were reportedly disappointed that their role model was about settling down as a third wife.
Immediately after her wedding plans filtered into the airwave, fans, media, and other interested parties beamed their searchlights on the man-Al-Moroof- that stole Akindele’s heart. Shortly after, series of conflicting reports emerged. While some sources disclosed that he was already married with four children, other corroborating reports had it that he had two wives with six children.  Though themarriage has packed up, the controversies generated still linger.
Also, early this year, the media was awash with stories of Foluke Daramola’s romantic dalliances with a married man, Kayode Salako-a romance that ended up chasing Salako’s legally married wife out of her matrimonial home.
Other celebrities with same disgusting marital stories include Stella Damasus, Ini Edo, Bukky Wright, Laide Bakare, Iyabo Ojo, Mercy Aigbe and most recently the Mavin First Lady! Will this unending social malady ever end?
Angry fans react, lambast Tee Billz
It’s desperation-Anthony Gideon
Is it desperation that makes our so-called celebrities settle for less? The talented song writer and singer deserves a better man- not an already father of two kids whose baby mama is still very much around. But I don't really know why these celebs, as beautiful as some of them are, cannot find their own husbands. They only end up snatching peoples’ husbands. May God forgive them all and grant them their own husbands and not other women's hubbies.
Women want to date and marry the bad ‘guys’-Jeremiah Subuloye
Tee Billz entered into Tiwa's heart because he probably had a bet with his friends to get Nigerian's 'hottest' female celebrity. I see desperation and 'fakeness' written all over this dude.
Tiwa's case shouldn't end up like that of Funke Akindele and others. Women want to date the 'bad guys' because they feel they are fun and yet expect them to treat them like a princess. They avoid the good boys with 'glasses' and call them freaking nerds. You cannot enjoy eating banana and expect it to give you the taste of strawberry.
Nothing is wrong with their union-Joy Okeke
What do you think? Must a man marry a woman who has had children for him? The answer is typical no! Nigerians should allow her enjoy her marital bliss.  She should only make sure her hubby-to-be settles with the other woman, the mother of his kids, before the wedding.
