Growing Girlz Foundation storms Abuja, empowers young girls

Wumi

To further empower young girls and give them the opportunity to design their own future, a Non Governmental Organisation, Wumi Obanla Growing Girlz Foundation recently held a seminar entitled The Voice of Girls Count.
The event which recently held at Mpape Primary School, Mpape, Abuja, SHOWBIZPLUSng gathered attracted over 300 young girls, dignitaries, among other Nigerians passionate about the growth of the girl child.

“The seminar was all about the young girls. The Foundation is aimed at bringing up our young ladies in the right way. We want to reach out to the younger girls. The essence is to pick them from the streets and either send them back to school or get them to learn one or two things that will be beneficial to them. We put the responsibility on ourselves to ensure they become better persons in future. Our mission is to provide a platform for young females to voice out their experience, so as to educate and inspire upcoming ones towards remaining steadfast to their goals in life. In other words, Growing Girlz is a brand concept designed to create an egalitarian society of young females thus breaking the barriers often induced by lack of direction, early mistakes in life and lack of financial support,” the prime mover, Wumi Obanla hinted.
