'Stop sexualising children'-- Kanayo O Kanayo

Veteran Nollywood actor, Kanayo O Kanayo yesterday, July 30, 2016 in a series of tweets shared parenting tips on decency.

 

According to him, the responsibility to explain to kids the sense and concept of decency lies on their parents.


The actor in one of his tweets asks, "Why does a 4, 6, 10 year old girl have to look like a CHIC? Look hot or sexy? Did your parents raise you like that?" adding, "The ones who dance like actual children are shoved off the floor, while the lewd ones are cheered on."
"It's our responsibility to explain to kids the sense/concept of decency. Why are we sexualising our kids?" he continued. "

Meanwhile, the veteran actor recently revealed plans to provide a platform for youths upon which they can more easily realize their dreams.


“My message to these younger ones is that you can be whatever you want to be in life, and you have nothing to limit you to your dreams. Education is the future, especially when you take your education seriously; nothing should actually be a stone in the way of your progress. We need to tell the younger ones that the future is bright," the actor said.
"The Kanayo O. Kanayo Mentoring Academy, KOKMA, is a platform for mentoring, and when I talk about mentoring here, I am talking about finding support for youths, for young adults, especially the ones in secondary school. It’s my own gift to the world."
