The recent killing of Pastor Dimgba Igwe, 58, the Associate Publisher of Entertainment Express and Sunday Express Newspapers, by a hit and run driver, while jogging in his Okota, Lagos neighbourhood has continued to attract wide spread condemnations.

Some leading entertainers and celebs who spoke with SHOWBIZPLUSng paid glowing tributes to the departed veteran journalist and respected columnist. They also called on the government to immediately fish out the heart less killer of the father of four from Abia State.

This is so shocking and painful. What a sad news. May God give you people at Entertainment Express and Sunday Express and his entire family the fortitude to bear the huge loss. My condolence also goes to the Nigerian journalism profession for this painful loss.

Azuh, I still can’t believe Pastor Dimgba Igwe is dead. The shock has not left me since I got the bad news. God will comfort his family, Mr. Mike Awoyinfa and all of you at EE and SE. I want to appeal to the Nigerian Police to fish out the heartless and evil hit and run driver that committed this heinous crime. God will surely comfort all of us. Take heart.

What a huge loss, can’t believe this sad news. Are you telling me that the amiable man I chatted with and introduced as the anchor of the Express Star Awards is dead? What a painful exit. This is shocking and painful. I’m speechless and asking God why? My condolences to his wife, children, entire family, best pal, Mr. Mike Awoyinfa and all those he left behind, especially you guys at the Express family. The killer driver must be fished out now. The government should also immortalize this huge Iroko of the journalism profession that was cut short in his prime.

I’m yet to come out of the shock that Pastor Dimgba Igwe is dead. His death is very painful. The killer must be arrested without delay. Our prayer is that God will comfort the family, especially his wife and also grant his soul eternal rest. Good bye Oga Dimgba Igwe.
