Captain Hosa Okunbo battles Jeta Amata over failed multi-million dollar film project

L-R: Captain Okunbo and Jeta when the going was good

A serious cold war is currently brewing between oil magnate and billionaire business man, Captain Hosa Wells Okunbo and young filmmaker, Jeta Amata, over a multi-million dollar failed film project.
SHOWBIZPLUSng exclusively gathered that Okunbo is visibly pissed and hugely disappointed with Amata, who shuttles between Hollywood and Nigeria, for failing to deliver on the big budget film, Black Gold, (later renamed Black November), which the former had invested over $8m of his personal wealth in.
An insider, who spoke with SHOWBIZPLUSng on the condition of anonymity, disclosed that the Edo State-born oil baron is very angry and disappointed with Jeta, for failing to complete work on the film and deliver to him based on their agreement.

“Captain, I can authoritatively tell you is not happy with Jeta based on how he has been handling the Black November film project. The man met Jeta and decided to assist him by investing heavily in the movie project. After spending over $ 8m on this international movie with its theme on the Niger Delta, the man is yet to receive the finished work from Jeta. It’s been one excuse and another from Jeta whenever Captain calls for the finished work that has him as the executive producer/major financier.
In fact, because of his love for Entertainment, Captain recently set up Wells Entertainment Limited, despite what Jeta did to him. He has vowed never to ask or discuss anything about the film with Jeta again, whom we learnt he is deeply disappointed with and has distanced himself from by cutting off all communications link with,” revealed this inside source.

Black November, a political film, tells the story of the Niger Delta community's struggle against their own government and a multi-national oil corporation. It features Hollywood stars like Kim Basinger, Mickey Rourke, Vivica A. Fox, Anne Heche and some Nollywood prominent faces.

SHOWBIZPLUSng could not reach Amata, whose marriage recently crashed and Okunbo for reactions before publishing. Several calls put to their respective phone numbers did not connect.
But trust us to keep you posted as more shocking revelations unfurls in this messy fight.
