Organisers of Cape Town, South Africa based awards ceremony,West African Power Industry Awards has unveiled one of Nigeria’s ace broadcaster Wofai Samuel, as the host of the show.
The Awards which is expected to bring together 200 of West Africa’s most renowned power industry professionals, pioneers, and projects, is set to recognise and reward the success of West Africa’s Power Sector during the 2015/2016 year.
Responding to the announcement, Wofai Samuel, said; ” It’s a dream come true as this has already opened several doors of limitless opportunities from diverse sectors on the international landscape. I give Thanks to God Almighty who has made this possible’.
She added that “Spintelligent from South Africa and Clarion Events from the UK are prominent and highly respected brands’ any broadcaster would long to be associated with’.
She also noted that; “getting recognized for what you do in your mother land is one thing, being spotted as a professional to host an international event of this magnitude is another level entirely
This is a pointer to the fact that I can measure up favourably with obtainable global standards and compete positively with my foreign contemporaries.
This will open up numerous international collaborations and I look forward to every opportunity this brings. I am excited about West Africa and the promises she hold’s’’ Wofai added.
