Wizkid, Davido, others groove with MTN Project Fame’s contestants

It was a memorable evening of fun and great entertainment in Lagos, as notable MTN ambassadors and celebrities in the entertainment industry, cheered MTN Project Fame contestants all night at the reality show’s eviction party.

The event which held over the weekend at Ikoyi, had in attendance raves of the moment and MTN ambassadors Wizkid, Davido, Praiz Banky W and Big Brother Africa’s housemate Babalwa Mneno, also known as ‘Barbrs’. The party ewas organised in honour of Ghanaian David and Nigerian Blessing, who were evicted from Africa’s biggest musical academy last weekend.

The party kicked-off on a high note. Blessing and David justified why they made it that far on the show, as they entertained guests and fans with their melodic renditions. Most enthralled was Wizkid who admitted that, the contestants are extraordinarily gifted. The king of Nigerian pops, later admonished the contestants to keep working hard, as the future holds better prospect for them.

The MTN Project Fame reality show is seen as the best music reality academy in the country.  The academy has history of nurturing and producing mega super stars who have gone ahead to do the continent proud and receive recognition in terms of awards. These superstars are Iyanya, Chidinma, Praiz and Kesse who hails from Ghana.

The race towards the grand finale is getting more interesting. With eight contestants remaining in the academy, the battle for top spot extends to this weekend when all the contestants will be performing different reggae songs both from Africa and the Caribbean Islands.
The contestants that will be on parade are: Olawale, Omolayo, Immaculate, Jimoh, Simon, Margaret, Rowland and Niniola.
