Winners of Best Model Nigeria 2013 to storm Brussels

After emerging winners at the keenly contested Best Model Nigeria Beauty Pageant which recently held amid glitz and glamour at Terra Kulture, Victoria Island, Lagos, Onyinye Emeasoba (Female category) and Brown Nnaemeka (Male category) are at the moment making last minutes preparations to represent Nigeria at the international stage on November 23, in Brussels, Belgium.

In a brief chat with Emeasoba, who also represented Anambra State in the just concluded Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN), the tall and dark-skinned 18-year-old model avowed thus: “I think it’s the Lord’s doing. I can’t really point to anything as a reason behind my success. It’s just God and His grace on me. Besides, I know I’m pretty and down to earth; I believe I have all it takes to emerge winner and also make Nigeria proud at the international stage, come November 2013. Don’t forget I also won the crown as Miss Brighter Future in 2012.”

On his part, Nnaemeka who also hails from Anambra and currently studying Civil Engineering at Cross River State University of Technology, Ekpo-Abasi expressed joy over his emergence, promising to distinguish himself in the forthcoming Best Model of the World contest billed to hold in Brussels, Belgium.

“I have been modeling for the past two years. This is the second crown I’m grabbing within the period. The first was Best Body, Mr. Tourism Nigeria 2012. I believe I have lots of prospects. On the other hand, Nigerians, especially the media should also pay attention to the modeling world-not just Nollywood and music alone,” he averred.

Also expressing sadness over the level of attention being received by models in Nigeria, the CEO of Models Link International, organizers of Best Model Nigeria, Emmanuel Okitiakpe stated: “The Modeling industry is one of the oldest industries in the world but has received little attention in Nigeria and Africa due to inadequate promotion for models and modeling activities. We are poised to bridge the gap and contribute towards the development of the modeling industry in Africa leveraging on information technology, print and electronic media. Our core services are to discover people with talent(s) and help them to develop it as well as models promotion, promotion of products and services that enhance models and the promotion of Nigeria’s cultural heritage,” the Delta State-born modeling enthusiast disclosed.
