The show, according to its
prime mover, Onyemaechi Moran Chikere, popularly known as Moran Cee, is aimed
at officially unveiling the Comedy Court brand, launch of the product of
the brand ‘Comedy Court session two audio comedy CD’ and also recognize with
awards of excellence, nominated organizations and individuals who have
consistently contributed to the growth of entertainment, especially comedy in
Nigeria.
“Guests would have a feeling
of the court atmosphere though in a hilarious perspective because Comedy Court
is a unique comedy brand that aims at delivering humour to the global populace,
creatively using the Law Court’s concepts to redefine standards.
“In comedy court, all jokes
are called ‘cases’. Every joke is a case and every case is a joke. Serious
issues drawn from all aspects of the economy are analyzed in a hilarious but
educating way to entertain people. Comedy Court only prosecutes and sentence
worries, depressions, high blood pressures, frustrations and even poverty,” the
humour merchant averred in a chat with Entertainment Express.
Speaking on the recipients of
the awards, the Imo State-born entertainer noted thus: “There are different
categories. A particular category recognizes organizations that have
contributed through media creativity and rebranding to the growth of the
entertainment industry; in this category, Entertainment Express
Newspaper emerged ‘The Most Creative Entertainment Newspaper; TVC emerged ‘The
Most Rebranded Television with best comedy contents while Wazobia FM emerged
‘The Most Creative Radio Station with best comedy contents,” the self acclaimed
Chief Judge/Justice of Comedy Court disclosed.
At the moment, the
multitalented comic act also doubles as a lecturer in the Corporate
Administration Department of Nigerian College of Administration-the official
postgraduate training school of Chartered Institute of Administration. He is a
Chartered Administrator and member of many professional associations in
Nigeria.
