No fewer than 20 persons are feared
dead following a boat accident in Lagos State on Tuesday.
The
boat, according to an online news portal, Eagle Online, capsized in
FESTAC area of Lagos State.
The
accident, eyewitnesses said, occurred around the Sixth Avenue on Tuesday
evening
As
of press time, five dead bodies had been pulled out of the wreckage.
Emergency
rescue workers were still working to retrieve the other bodies from the water
as of 11pm on Tuesday.
Meanwhile,
it has been tears-galore for the families of those that lost loved ones in the
tragedy described by many as ‘avoidable’ and ‘monumental.’
