I have cordial relationship with Odunlade Adekola and Kemi Afolabi –She Baby

So many people would remember the bitter feud between actresses, Kemi Afolabi and Seyi Ariyo, popularly known as She Baby. Their quarrel generated so much ruckus and even made headlines especially when popular Yoruba actor, Odunlade Adekola, was also mentioned in their cat fight.
The bone of contention was a dress She Baby said she gave Kemi while on set of her new movie, Aye Alaye and which she claimed Kemi refused to return after the movie shoot.
In a chat with Saturday Beats, She Baby said that the issue has since been settled and she maintains a very cordial relationship with Adekola and Kemi.
“Kemi Afolabi and I had the clash while on set of my movie, Aye Alaye but it has since been resolved. We have not seen each other for some time but the last time we met was at a friend’s movie production, we both featured in the movie. When we saw each other, we greeted ouselves. We are not as close as we were before but we are on talking terms. However, I have not seen Odunlade Adekola since the incident but I am sure that we won’t have any problems when we see.

“The issue we had was not a big one but the media blew it out of proportion. Odunlade Adekola has been my friend ever since I started out as an actress in 2002. We went to the same acting institute at Abeokuta and that is where I learnt movie production. He is somebody I have known for over ten years, the press messed everything up with what they wrote about us. They were reporting some things that we did not say and before we knew it, the whole thing went out of hand. We thank God it is over,” she said.
The actress noted that the incident did not affect her relationship with her other colleagues. She said, “The incident did not affect my relationship with my colleagues and even after everything, I still featured in the movies of actresses like Liz Anjorin, Funke Etti to mention a few. People in the industry understand how these things work. It is our fans that may not know what is going on. It was after that issue that I premeired my movie, Aye Alaye, and it was well attended by people in the movie industry and corporate world. People would always cook up stories. I just thank God that I have a thick skin. Things like that do not bug me anymore. I have so many positive things on my mind so I do not want any distraction to derail me.”--vanguard
