Anxiety as Nwankwo Kanu returns from another heart surgery in US

It is no longer news that Nigerian football star Nwankwo Kanu underwent a corrective heart surgery at the Cleveland Hospital, Ohio, USA recently. The big news exclusively scooped by SHOWBIZPLUS is that Papilo as Kanu is fondly called, had a successful operation and is expected back in Nigeria this weekend. Although, details are still very sketchy, however, the information at our disposal has it that his family and close associates are still worried about the true condition of his health at the moment.

According to a statement by the Coordinator of the Kanu Heart Foundation, Pastor Onyebuchi Abia, the surgery was carried out during one of his normal yearly routine medical checks at the hospital following his 1997 heart surgery at the same hospital and it was a success.

Kanu, the founder of Kanu Heart Foundation, (KHF), had since left the Intensive Care Unit, (ICU) of the hospital and is currently recuperating ahead of his scheduled return.
