Amaechi told to show details of monthly savings

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Rivers State Chapter has called on Governor Rotimi Amaechi to convince the people of the State with facts and evidence that support his claims of the One Billion Naira (N1b) monthly savings.
The Party, SHOWBIZPLUS gathered challenged the State Governor to provide details of the monthly deposits and balance of such financial transaction/operation otherwise, the Party and the people will continue not to take such widely publicized claim seriously.

The PDP believes that the latest Governor’s action in asking his House of Assembly stooges to approve the withdrawal of N30 billion from the alleged monthly savings by the State Government was a justification of the fact that the State is and can no longer sustain the savings undertaken by the government.
The Party is of the view that if the government was that prudent, the financial status and state of facilities in the state would have improved and remained attractive, regretting the dearth of infrastructure and total disregard for the provision of social amenities, as well as the produgal activities of the governor in the State, which have culminated in the financial bankruptcy of the Rivers State Government, under Governor Amaechi.
The PDP also notes that if all was well with the financial account of the State, Governor Amaechi would not have approached the various financial institutions and donor/lending agencies for Bond and financial support for the provision of drinking water and development projects in the State, also decrying the uncovered attempt by the governor to lease or out rightly sell out to a business crony the State owned Braithwaite Memorial Specialist Hospital (BMSH) built by the previous administrations in the State.
The Party therefore advises Gov Amaechi to stop deceiving the people about the monthly savings if he cannot provide the details of the undertaking.
