Nollywood actress, Yvonne Jegede calls on all singles not to marry by force.
The actress in a post shared today, July 20, 2016 on Instagram says she doesn't think marriage is mandatory.
She wrote,
"Marriage is not by force, I repeat...marriage is not by force.
If you cannot see yourself submitting totally to your husband, please let him just find the woman that would, no need to marry. I don't think it's mandatory... Peace is good for everyone..
You can submit to yourself and marry yourself. But if you choose to marry then respect him completely and submit totally.
If you don't want to marry that's very very okay and if you cannot love the woman totally, Nwanne I repeat... Marriage is not by force...
Stop wasting each other's time Biko!!!"
Recently, Jegede took to Instagram to air her thoughts on depression and suicide.
She has also been very vocal on social matters lately. Just last month, she weighed in on the current unemployment situation in Nigeria.
She wrote, "1st May was "Workers Day" I'm wondering the people who stayed back at home to celebrate this so called Workers day when the youths are already at home anyways. This is not the time to act like everything is alright, this is not the time to pretend I'm not affected, this is not the time to manage, it is the time to speak up. I, Yvonne Jegede is sick of this, I am personally speaking for myself and people who are affected. Unemployment leads to criminal activities, when people are hungry, they are angry."--pulse.ng
