Ini Edo, D'ban

2006 - Rumours have it that D’banj and Nollywood actress Ini Edo are having an affair. The pop star denies this during an interview with Spectacles. “Let me say it point blank, I am not dating Ini Edo. She is a very special koko lite because she is well endowed like you know. But she is just my colleague in the showbiz world. It was just that she and I were spotted together at an event and then the rumour started flying. I am not dating her” he says.

Circa 2008- D’banj is in a high profile relationship with Nollywood superstar actress Genevieve Nnaji who plays his love interest in his music video ‘Fall In Love’. Their love story ends soon enough only for it to be reignited again in 2014.

Circa 2010- The pop star is in a love affair with Jennifer Obayuwana, a Polo executive. They date for two years before partings ways. Jennifer Obayuwana is now married.

Adama Indimi and D'banj 

2012- Adama Indimi, daughter and heiress of billionaire  Alhaji Mohammed Indimi is D’banj’s girlfriend. Their love affair is broken up due to pressure from Adama’s father. In 2015 D’banj publicly declares his undying love for her after dumping South African media celebrity Bonang Matheba.

December 2014- July 2015- D’banj is in another high profile relationship, this time with South African media personality Bonang Matheba. This is his most public relationship- he kisses Matheba at the MAMAs and photos of them together pop up on Instagram. By July 2015, their relationship crashes. Bonang Matheba moves on with South African rapper AKA.

April 2016- D’banj reveals that when he gets married it would be a secret affair. “I would tell you the truth, I am not married but if I am, nobody would hear about it. It is going to be a very quiet wedding because I am tired of people asking me that question. It is my personal life and it is not going to change my music or brand” he tells Punch.
