Stephanie Linus (born Stephanie Onyekachi Okereke) is a leading Nigerian actress, film director and model.
She was also the runner up for the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria beauty pageant of 2002.
In 2011, she was honoured by the Nigerian government with a National honour (Member of the Order of the Federal Republic, MFR), for her immense contributions to father land.
Mrs. Linus Okereke was born in Ngor Okpala, Imo State on October 2, 1982.
She is the sixth child of Mary and Chima Okereke’s eight children. She completed her primary & secondary education in Delta State.
She studied at the University of Calabar, in Cross River State, where she graduated with a degree in English and Literary Studies.
After graduating from the New York Film Academy in 2007, Okereke released her debut movie,Through the Glass[ in which she served as director, scriptwriter, producer and actress.
The critically acclaimed movie received rave reviews within and outside Nigeria and further catapulted her flourishing career to the next level.
In 2014, the immensely talented mother of one, released another blockbuster movie, Dry and again served as its director, scriptwriter, producer, and actress. Okereke has starred in over 100 movies.
Dry has shattered box office records and rewritten the history of Nollywood with its global success and plaudits.
In April 2012 Okereke married the man of her dream, Linus Idahosa in Paris, France, at a private fairy tale wedding ceremony that was attended by members of her family and scores of Nollywood actresses and actors.
Amazingly,their first son Maxwell Enosata Linus was born in October 2015.
This Amazon and philanthropist extraordinaire is a force to reckon with in and outside Nollywood.
