Qudus dance premiere

DENNIS UGBUDIAN
Lagos and Abuja are set to host Qudus Onikeku’s latest brainchild entitled “We Almost Forgot”
This world class production features on stage 6 dancers and 1 actress, all of varied backgrounds and identities (Nigeria, Gabon, Morocco, Algeria, Madagascar & France).
The four sold out shows after the world premiere in Berlin, were greeted with thunderous applause and standing ovations.
According to Qudus, the whole cast and crew are presently in Lagos, getting ready for the much awaited Lagos premiere, adding that never has Qudus, a world renowned Nigerian dance maker and choreographer, premiered his international works in Nigeria, but through the active support of Goethe Institut, Bank of Industry, Institute Français and the German Embassy, this is made possible, not just in Lagos but equally in Abuja.
Hear him: “The Lagos premiere shall be on the main stage at Freedom Park on Friday June 24, as an headliner at the Lagos Live Arts festival, while the Abuja show will be hosted at the prestigious National Universities Commission, on Sunday June 26.
