Chinedu Ikedieze burst on to the scene in truly dramatic fashion in the 2002 movie Aki na Ukwa. And in less than a decade he has gone on to become one of the most famous actors in Nollywood. Best known for acting alongside his sidekick Osita Iheme, the duo have solidified the name Aki & PawPaw in the Nigerian movie industry. Chinedu has starred in nothing less than 100 movies and still counting.
Armed with an HND in mass communications in 2002, Chinedu began auditioning for movie roles. His first big screen feature was in the 1998 movie “Evil Men” in which he had a minor role.
However his big break did not come until the 2002 movie Aki na Ukwa shortly after his final year exams, playing the role of Aki opposite Osita Iheme, this was the movie that got him noticed by Nollywood fans and critics alike.
A 2004 graduate of the prestigious New York Film Academy (NYFA).
In 2010, he received one of the highest honours a Nigerian Citizen can be given, he was conferred an MFR (Member Order of the Federal Republic) by the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
His hobbies are reading, watching football, swimming , travelling and exchanging ideas.
He is recently working on one of the most watched programmes on AfricaMagic- THE JOHNSONS (as Efe Johnson).
He is married to a fashionista, his beautiful heartthrob, Mrs Nneoma Ikedieze.
