Chelsea retain three Super Eagles stars for next season

OMERUO  MIKEL OBI  and VICTOR MOSES

– Chelsea have retained Mikel Obi, Victor Moses and Omeruo for next season 


– The trio will be given time to play for the first team under Antonio Conte

 – Nigerian youngsters Dominic Solanke, Ugbo Ike and Tomori Fikayo will also remain at the club

 Premier League side Chelsea have announced players released and retained for the 2016/17 season with the club retaining John Obi Mikel, Victor Moses and Kenneth Omeruo for next season.

Moses and Omeruo, who have had different loan spells since joining the Blues but Mikel Obi has been a first team member since 2006.

 Omeruo was on loan at Kasimpasa last season while Moses spent last season on loan at West Ham. 

It is however believed that new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is actually looking to keep the trio and give them a chance to show what they can do for the first team.

Nigeria captain Mikel has been linked with Chinese and Turkish clubs, but it remains to be seen if he will end his 10-year association with the London side or stay put for another season.


 Other players with Nigerian heritage retained in the Chelsea squad include Dominic Ayodele Solanke, who played at Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem last season, Ugbo Ike and Tomori Fikayo while negotiations are still ongoing with Olu Aina for a new contract.



 Chelsea finished the 2015/16 in 10th place with 50 points from 38 matches.-----naij.com
