Veteran Nollywood actress, Clarion Chukwura, will be
hosted to a night of tributes, this Saturday, April 5, at Prince of Anthony, an arm of
the Hotel 1960 Group, located in Anthony Village, Lagos. The actress, who has
appeared in over 85 Nigerian movies in the last 20 years, SHOWBIZPLUSng gathered will be treated to
an evening of toasts and celebration of a great career, in the company of
friends and family.
According to Gbemi Sijuwade, the outfit's manager, ‘as a
foremost hospitality group in Lagos, the Prince of Anthony recognises exceptional
individual finesse and honours personalities who through professionalism and a
dint of hardwork continue to inspire a new a generation of talents’.
‘Because Clarion has over time shown absolute ingenuity and
has kept her head up high all through the past two decades, especially in the
Nigerian movie industry, the Prince of Anthony has decided to honour her to a night
of tributes from colleagues and family’, she added.
Feelers from the organizers of the tribute also indicate
that upcoming and established artistes will also be on ground to entertain
Clarion, who is a mother to Clarence Peters, a popular hip hop music video
producer and son of Afro Juju superstar, Sir Shina Peters.
