OAP denies claims of fighting with Timaya in the studio

Top on-air personality, JJ of BlazeFM - Anambra has dismissed claims of clashing with popular Nigerian entertainer, Timaya.

There had been widespread reports that Timaya blasted the on-air personality for cutting him off during a live radio chat.

The popular JJ hosted Timaya, Kcee and Harrysong during the ‘meet and greet’, which came hours before the Star Music Trek concert which held at Beverly Hills Resort, Nnewi on July 13.

The broadcaster says he’s amazed by the reports and insisted that Timaya only tried to make humour out of the occasion.

Speaking over the phone from South Africa, where he went to cover the International Nelson Mandela Day, JJ, popularly known as the Jocular One, humorously debunked the claims and added that, playing back the interview clip, he wonders where the story comes from.

‘How can Timaya blast me, He only shared a joke and everyone laughed about it’. ‘Timaya is a cool guy and I’ve hosted him severally’, JJ said. ‘We even took pictures afterwards and left in the same car to his hotel before proceeding to the venue of the Star Trek concert which had brought him to town’. 

Meanwhile, during the interview, Limpopo king, KCee, confirmed that he will soon release a new single with Timaya.

And, for his teeming fans who have tried to decode the mystery of ‘Limpopo’, the stylish artiste finally revealed the meaning during the live chat.

“Limpopo just means ‘Let’s have fun’, KCee said. “It’s a ‘feel good song’ and I really appreciate how my fans have so quickly taken to it.”
