Nigeria's DJ Neptune on South Africa's TransAfricaRadio.net show 'The ReUp', shares on what makes him stand out as a disc jockey, his winning formula and working with new school acts.
He discusses the Nigerian and African music scene, and the influence of the genre on the international front.
"There is that new sound that the world is trying to discover, take it or leave it, that sound is coming from Africa", the DJ says.
The DJ talks on what stands him out as a DJ, how he's able to win his target audience with his mixes, his stand out singles, album, and collaborations in the works.
Neptune also shares his thoughts on the international endorsements from the likes of Sony signing Wizkid, Davido and others, says it is a good feeling as the world keeps trying to discover the new sound that is straight out of Africa.
The DJ speaks on the relationship between DJs in Nigeria, saying no DJ is superhuman to have all the gigs. "You can't play all the parties, everybody is gonna get booked, what should be your focus is trying to be a better DJ, the DJs should have one voice so the promoters don't take you for granted", Neptune explains.
